ALOM Annual Compensation & Benefits Report
In September, ALOM distributed the 2017 Compensation & Benefits (Wage & Salary) Report to participating members. Efforts were taken to enhance the publication in the following ways:
- Created an online submission component
- Re-tooled the organization of the data to include categories such as General Administration, Public Safety and Public Works in addition to using municipality size to group the data, as well as providing more data points
- Re-formatted the report to a more user friendly style
We are pleased to announce that this year 95% of respondents completed the survey online – which will expedite the process and allow us to automatically repopulate your responses in future years!
The Compensation & Benefits Report is a valuable document for municipal budget planning – and ALOM encourages all municipalities who did not participate in the 2017 Compensation & Benefits Survey to consider doing so in 2018 in order to be provided with this critical resource.
The 2018 Compensation & Benefits questionnaire will be distributed in May 2018, with the full report published in late summer. Summaries of the type of data collected on two of the most common municipal positions can be viewed to the left.
