Conventions

ALOM’s affiliate Associations will hold Conventions to provide valuable educational information, to signal the conclusion of a successful year and also to signal the transition of leadership. The Conventions of the Allegheny County Association of Township Officials (ACATO) and the Allegheny County & Western PA Association of Township Commissioners (AC&WPATC) have become traditional events that the respective members have grown to look forward to every year.

Similar to the other associations, the Allegheny County Boroughs Association (ACBA) hosts a General Membership meeting for the same purpose. In addition to the General Membership Meeting, the ACBA holds an Annual Banquet that similarly has become a tradition that many people look forward to.

ACATO Convention May 4

The 2017 ACATO Convention will be held May 4, 2017 at Shannopin Country Club. Visit the ACATO page for more information.

The 2016 ACATO Convention was held on May 5 at Avonworth Community Park. Special guest speakers included Mayor Wiliam Peduto and Melissa Morgan from the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS).

Despite the rain, the event was a resounding success attended by 55 local leaders. Acting President Jean-Sebastien Valois was sworn in as the association President along with the other members of the executive board by the Honorable Judge Robert Gallo.

AC&WPATC Convention May 18

The 2017 AC&WPATC Convention will be held May 18, 2017 at the Magnolia Room. More information will be available the week of March 27.

The 2016 AC&WPATC Convention was held on May 26 at Shannopin Country Club. Special guest speakers included Mr. Doug Sample, the Manager of Ross Township. The event was very successful and attending by almost 70 people. Outgoing President Dave Mikec welcomed Incoming President Tony Taliani and Mr. Taliani as well as the other members of the executive board were sworn in by the Honorable Judge Carolyn Bengel.

ACBA Annual Banquet

The 2017 Annual Banquet was held on February 4, 2017. This event serves as the ACBA’s marquee event and is open to all ALOM stakeholders. This event is frequently attended  by legislators, county officials, state association leadership and other dignitaries in addition to vendor partners and stakeholders from all of ALOM’s associations . This opportunity to network is coupled with official transitioning of ACBA leadership as well as a fun celebration of the successful year behind and ahead.
